The Park is open year round. Winters are pretty quiet and Spring and Fall are lovely. But Summer is a particularly beautiful time of the year here at Fern Ridge Shores and the surrounding area! We have a few dry camp RV sites by the lake shore for daily camping and weekends. The RV Park with full hookups (50A electric, water and sewer) has spaces only for full-timers - There is currently a waiting list for full hookup sites. However, there may be one or two spaces with the RVs on them that are for sale. You can contact the front office for more info.
Fern Ridge Shores is a great place to stay when you are in town for University of Oregon Ducks games. Eugene also boasts a wonderful kid's museum, terrific restaurants, several fresh fruit & veggie stands, and several theaters, including the
Actor's Cabaret.
Fern Ridge Shores is located in the beautiful Willamette Valley where you can visit more than 200 wineries. In less than an hour you can be at the coast and visit a casino with a great buffet. The Willamette Valley is host to at least a dozen Farmer's Markets including one right here in Veneta. Between Halloween and Christmas, carnivals, festivals, and bazaars abound in the Eugene area. Our year round RV park welcomes you. There is never a day when you can't find enjoyable things to do.
We live in a bird watchers' paradise. Egrets, herons, eagles, dunlin are prolific this time of year. Occasionally a red fox, pheasants or wild turkeys wander into the park. Deer are sighted daily along Jeans Road and right here in the park. Most of us enjoy the proximity to the wildlife, although gardeners bemoan the loss of their strawberries, veggies and flowers.
Those of us who have lived here for a long time remind newcomers that Fern Ridge Shores belonged to the deer, bear and cougars long before it was our park. Rarely are bear or cougars sighted but it has happened. We always ask tenants not to leave garbage uncovered or pet food outside. It is important to remember when picking berries or walking through the surrounding wooded areas to always travel in pairs.
Our Park Managers are Bill Perrault, Grounds and Maintainance and Sheila Pannell, the Office Manager. The hours of operation are posted at the office, and we are now taking Marina Slip reservations for next season April 15th thru October 15th. Don't wait too long as we only have 100 slips and many are taken quickly. You can get the rates at the office from Sheila.
We also now have ice and fire wood for sale (when there is no burn ban in effect), and our mail room has work out equipment for tenants and guests to use. We have outside restrooms for the tenants and their guests and our main restrooms with showers are located next to the laundry in the main building.
Our Fourth of July celebration is always a great success as usually with many residents attending. The food and games continue to be a big hit. The weather was beautiful, excellent, food was plentiful, and a good time was had by all. We are glad you were here and, if you weren't, hope to see you next year.

The owners and managers of Fern Ridge Shores encourage you to visit the RV park year round. Our beautiful marina is normally open from mid-April until late September. In addition to the RV park and Marina, the 55-space Manufactured Home Community has homes for sale and an occasional site ready for your home. Currently there is a wait list for sites in the Manufactured park.
We have a nice Marina with floating docks and easy access. We also have a boat launch ramp. We have slip rentals, 100 in all, for our full time boaters or just for the weekend or on a daily basis. We have a large picnic area lake side with fire rings and clean restrooms and showers. The lake is accessable from April 15th to October 15 yearly. Due to low lake levels in 2020 and 2021, the marina was not open, but lake levels have returned to normal in 2022.

The federal fair-housing age classification of this park is Senior (age 55 and older). One of the occupants in each unit must be at least 55 years of age. You cannot sell to someone under 55 years of age without written park approval. We will need a doctor's written statement to put in your file if you need someone to live with you to care for you. This currently applies to our RV Park only, and not to the manufactured home section.
